Dimitris Vakondios, a Nescafé representative, is credited with improvising instant coffee in a shaker when he could not find hot water at the Thessaloniki Trade Fair.
Make it at home
Starting recipe
You'll need
- Instant coffee
- 2 tsp
- Water
- 150–200 g
- Ice
- full glass

Whip
Shake or whisk instant coffee, sugar and a splash of water until a thick foam forms.

Build
Add ice and cold water to a tall glass.

Finish
Spoon in the foam and add milk if you want it.
